Kick off the holiday season with the Danes…

Our annual Jul celebration begins at the Masonic Hall in Astoria (1572 Franklin Avenue, Astoria, OR 97103) with social time at 6 pm. Dinner is served at 6:30 pm; caroling, music, and dancing generally start around 7:45 pm; and often we receive a special visit later in the evening from Julmanden (Santa Claus). The Society provides dinner dishes of pork loin, mashed potatoes, medisterpølse (Danish onion sausage), rødkål (red cabbage), and rizalamande (rice pudding), while members contribute pot-luck dishes to share. Beverages include non-alcoholic punch, coffee, and water. There is no cost to members. Please ring in the holiday season with us.
