May Virtual Meeting: Babette's Feast - Film viewing & discussion

  • 33rd St. (Meetings ONLY) Astoria, OR, 97103 United States (map)

We will all be viewing the film “Babette’s Feast” before tonight’s meeting, and then hosting a discussion about the film after our business portion of the meeting in complete. This film has English subtitles, as it is presented in the original Danish and French language format. We are very lucky to have our own Doreen Simonsen - who is the Humanities and Fine Arts Librarian for Willamette University - facilitate the discussion! If you join us not only will you see a wonderful Danish film, but we guarantee you will learn something new.

Marie Yost has a copy of the film to loan out, Video Horizons at 1156 Duane Street in Astoria has a copy for rent (503-325-7310), the Seaside Public Library also has a copy to loan out, (which perhaps you can request from the Astoria Public Library via inter-library loan), and it is available for rent on Amazon for $3.99 and for purchase in various formats. You may also find it at other libraries, digital streaming services, or rental establishments.
